In preparing to meet an awesome God, we pray - we Pray To Change The Atmosphere… in our case, we pray specifically that:
1- There would be No Spiritual Hindrance or Obstruction. That there would be an atmosphere of the heavens being wide open and available.
2-There would be No business as usual services. That there would be an atmosphere of Expectancy throughout our Body. That we would Come together with excitement believing for great things to happen.
3-There would be an atmosphere of the supernatural... Our God is beyond all Gods, and beyond all we can imagine; and He's in our midst.
4-There would be No Limitations Placed On Anyone. An atmosphere of anyone can receive.
Examples:
• Rahab was a prostitute yet she is listed in Hebrews chap. 11
• Paul was vicious in his persecution of the church.
• David committed murder and adultery.
• Mary Magdalene was filled with demons.
• Gideon was a coward.
We must remember there is no limit to what God can do with a life committed to Him.
5- There would be an atmosphere of "People are important." Jesus shed blood for all people. The Gospel is to all people not just the ones we like or choose. The church is an open door to all, not a private club.
6-There would be No Spirit of Defeat. God is able to deliver anyone at anytime. We need an atmosphere that exemplifies that victorious living is possible for everyone.
7-There would be No "Shelter In Place" Mentality here. Ask God to do the Impossible! We need to reach our Cities. There are times of visitation for every city. Perhaps now is the time for the Peninsula.
8-There would be an atmosphere of Systemic Blessing. "We don't have the money for this... we don't have the volunteers for that..." We must stop making excuses for our disobedience in these areas and stop functioning in our dysfunction. Less than 25% of people in many churches faithfully support that church with tithes and offerings on a consistent basis. Fewer than that serves the church with their time and talents!
